Miss Mexico, Rosa Maria Ojeda, poses with a floor-length dress, belted by bullets and accented by sketches of hangings during Mexico's Roman Catholic uprising in the 1920s during a presentation in the city of Tampico, Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2006. The dress has outraged Mexicans who said it was inappropriate for the world's most important beauty contest.

I say we need more dresses and textbooks like this.
Rebellion against tyrants is obedience to God — Benjamin Franklin
Vows of Violence by Leading Communists
“The more representatives of the reactionary bourgeoisie and the reactionary clergy that we manage to shoot the better. Now is the time to teach the public such a lesson that for many decades they will not dare even to think of any sort of resistance.”
-— Vladimir I. Lenin’s August 22, 1922 letter to the Politburo. Quoted in Keeston News Service, National Catholic Register, July 1, 1990, page 8.
“We Communist Party members are the most advanced revolutionaries in modern history ... the enemy must be wiped out from the face of the earth before a Communist world can be realized.”
-— Nelson Mandela, during his 1962 trial for terrorism. Quoted in The Wanderer, July 1, 1990, page 6.
“The whole system we live under is completely worthless, and no basic change for the better can come about until this system is overthrown.” -— Bob Avakian, Chairman of the Revolutionary Communist Party, USA. Quoted in the Revolutionary Communist Party Worker, July 10, 1989, page 2.

That lovely girl looks a bit underdressed, without an assault rifle or something...

Interesting that at least one Mexican sees similarities between Christianity (of the Roman Catholic variety) and the Klan.
The Klan is bad, those rebels seem to have held some decent views (though as Christians they shouldn't have rebelled against the legitimate government).

Ben Franklin was off on that point.
Just as first century Christians were supposed to recognize the Roman government, just as Jews were supposed to pay taxes to Caesar, Christians at the time of the Revolution and today are to respect the established government of their countries, unless the government gives an order contrary to God's Law, and even then the government is not to be overthrown--the offending rule should just be ignored.

i.e. if a country makes a law that all unborn children of unwed people are to be aborted, that rule should be ignored by Christians.
