Roman legionary soldiers of the Twentieth Legion erected this sandstone distance slab at Hutcheson Hill after they had built part of the Antonine Wall in Scotland. The Wall and forts were built and used between AD 139 –161. [The Hunterian Museum and Art Gallery]
