Oh, he ought to do well with that one! No body at all. Joran says he left her on the beach, so Perper ruled it an accidental drowning.

MAN, you were RIGHT ON with that one! I didn’t see the whole segment on NG with Perper, but I saw the last part of it. NG was asking Perper how hard it would be to get DNA if only bones were found, and he never really answered. Then, she asked him again, and he said they could get DNA if there was ‘bone marrow’ present, and if they had dental X-rays (I think), that they could compare the “jaw bones”, bc jaw bones are different in different people (or something like that, I’m not sure that is exactly what he said). Then, NG asked Perper about ‘hair’ and he said that if there was a hair follicle, or marrow, or soft tissue, they could get DNA....but then he said (in his annoying accent)..”From vhat I understand Nancy, naathing has beeen recovered en theese two days”!!

So typical of Perper, his concern is NOT about DNA ANALYSIS or anything to do with a MEDICAL EXAMINER’S OPINION or perspective!!! Even when he is asked medical questions that would pertain to his job as a medical examiner, he PREFERS to answer as if he is a DETECTIVE on the case or a CRIMINAL DEFENSE ATTORNEY!! I mean, NG did NOT ASK HIM IF OR WHAT EVIDENCE HAD BEEN FOUND! She asked him about obtaining DNA from OLD forensic evidence. YET, he felt the need to INFORM everyone that he did not believe any evidence had been found during the 2 day search of the VDS property!! First of all, HOW THE HELL DOES HE KNOW NOTHING WAS FOUND??? Did the NKLP hire Perper for the Natalee Holloway case, or is Perper just the ‘Go to’ guy (ME Expert) when a murder needs to be COVERED UP??

BTW, I havent’t looked at any of Perper’s other cases, but I wonder how many cases he has been involved with that were actual murder cases, ‘possible’ murder cases, or ‘undetermined cause of death’ cases? I guess I need to look into that, especially since he is NOW a “Nancy Grace EXPERT correspondent” and he seems to REVEL in his 15 and 1/2 minutes of fame!!”

I can’t believe we were told that he is a TOP-NOTCH, WELL-RESPECTED, blah, blah, blah in his field!! Apparently, being a Medical Examiner is pretty POLITICAL job and ‘accommodating’ people with DEEP pockets is a good part of the job (if you want to become rich and famous!!)! I don’t trust them at all, bc if you think about it, THEY HAVE THE LAST SAY..usually...not a good checks and balances system, esp IF you are working with a small group of ‘officials’, or a group that is good at greasing palms! Not that I think all ME’s are bad, but I just see a lot of leeway there, even in high profile cases where more than one doctor is doing the autopsy....If you were Dr. Perper’s underling (or even a contemporary, for that matter) and he TOLD YOU something had already been done or checked, would you dispute him??
