You can relax about DeWine, in terms of the life issue, he’s as pro life as you get. No matter what other issues some might have with him.

It’s pretty simple. JR, or anyone else that I know, isn’t trying to get into our voting booths and slam us for making the best decisions we can in an imperfect world.

It’s about FreeRepublic being JR’s forum, not ours, and about his deeply held beliefs that he created this forum to help promote and sustain. And within that framework, yet I’ve seen some pretty wide latitude given for debating issues and candidates.

That said, with the election coming and JR’s bedrock beliefs on the line, he’s not prepared to let the Rudy people - or others who don’t fit his reasons for his forum - to have such wide latitude and hold such sway.

Like I said, I might be for or against specific bannings, or be sorry or not to see people leave (some by their own choice). But I understand the bottom line, and I accept it. Otherwise it doesn’t make sense for me to be here on JR’s forum.

“””sorry or not to see people leave (some by their own choice)”””

I feel sorry for FReepers who are trying to maintain contact with those who chose to leave FR. I expect they will have to sign on to WA in order to do so. That is sad.
