Very bizarre - something I want to comment on. They are doing the charity thing and an appeal about malaria in Africa. They asked Julia Roberts, Gwyneth Paltrow, and a bunch of other stars how many funerals they had been to in their lives.
They all said numbers like “2” or “3” or 6 or 7. I think 7 was the most.
What is with these people? I’ve been to several hundred funerals. Do they not pay their respects to anyone besides their own kinfolk? I’ve never heard of grown adults (especially big movie stars with hundreds of acquaintances) who have only been 2 funerals!
I’m speechless.
This may be totally inappropriate but if they were raising money for something like Aids I’m sure they would have said they had been to hundreds of funerals of friends and collegues.
I’ve only been to about 3 funerals and that was when I was very small. I’ve had relatives die but I really don’t like funerals.

Incredible huh? I will have to say that when I know someone who has died, I may only go to the wake (not necessarily the funeral itself) Hopefully that is what they meant.
