Sat on her tuffet
Eating her curds & whey
There came a big spider
Who sat down beside her
And frightened Miss Muffet away
Just memory, except the black bird line - I ‘membered it differently from that, so had to look it up.
They’re changing guards at Buckingham Palace;
Christopher Robin went down with Alice.
Just mostly a Milne fan and have had posting discussions about him in the past year here which left some fresher in my mind than they would have been otherwise. I’ll stop.
And some of the bigger bears try to pretend
They came round the corner to look for a friend.
And they try to pretend that nobody cares
If you walk on the lines or the squares.
But only the sillies believe that talk -
It’s ever so ‘portant how you walk.
And it’s ever so jolly to call out, *Bears!
Just watch me walking in all the squares!*
