So true! Chilling. IMO, He could get a job on a redo of the Munsters. But even then, those actors were only ACTING like they were dead. HKS’s eyes seem worse, like he has nothing behind them. Some vast dead emptyness. And he has mannerisms to match that “deadness.”
I can’t figure out if it’s a sociopathic indicator or profound depression or drugs or all of the above.
But whatever the reason, HKS’s eyes certainly project an unconcerned-with-anyone-or-anthing malevolency (spelling).
Agreed - and he often is looking down rather than right at a person asking questions of him.
