if i could be allowed to give some perspective also. I have lived in my town for over 25 years. Same house for 15. I'm settled. I have ruuts.
If my daughter and grandson died, and my daughter was in some sort of eviction/legal dispute that would likely take months if not years to resolve, at an anticipated cost of tens of thousands of dollars, with no guarantee of title, in a second-world-at-least country, full of bad memories, I'd likely not want to move and leave everything, and everyone, I know.
I'd know my daughter didn't pay the first mortgage payment and was staying there illegally; so I wouln't bother. I'd thank the true owners for all the help and kindness they gave my daughter, and go home to my recliner and flower garden, bringing the bodies of my kin with me. JMO
