Forgot if I answered this or not, but saw another post that could be an answer re: Dr. E prescribing when they had Dr. Barrett. Maybe he couldn’t. Maybe they were working on a treatment plan for Anna, maybe they weren’t. At least, I’m glad to know somebody there contacted him and it appears he did see Anna.
Honestly, I don’t think that Anna was in any way, a ‘regular’ patient of Dr. Barrett’s. I believe, that Dr. Barrett was the ‘Psychiatrist’ on CALL when DANIEL died. I think he was the psychiatrist in the ‘closest vicinity’ and that is why he is the doctor that administered a sedative to Anna. Since he had ‘been there’ at the hospital when Daniel died, and therefore had ‘seen’ Anna before, it’s likely that he was ‘kept on’ as Anna’s psychiatrist aka ‘sedative giver’ until Daniel’s funeral was over at least! I would be surprised if Anna EVER saw Dr. Barrett prior to the night of Daniel’s death...or AFTER Daniel’s death, for that matter...
He sedated her before and after Daniel's funeral if you believe what has been reported. This info leads me to believe he could prescribe for and treat her ... and did.
We may never know what really happened if the inquest does not go forward.
