I did feel sorry for him, up to a point, saw him as being in love with Anna but willing to put up with her through thick and thin and being loyal to her, regardless of how she acted or what she said. I’ve never seen him as a strong, controlling man. Weak and wimpy, yes. I simply differ from you in that it hasn’t yet been proven to me he’s a sociopath or psychopath who planned to off 2 people that I think he honestly cared a great deal about. Anna was his career and his life and he defended her to his great detriment, and probably couldn’t see the forest for the trees. I neither like nor dislike him, yet.

Look up the term “Passive Aggressive”. You’ll learn about the world you live in and quite possibly save yourself the trouble of being screwed over in your niave state.

I have had experience with a person of this type. He ADORED ME, he supposedly would do anything for me. But yeah, I learned the hard way how vindictive those types can be.

I took a few psych classes in years gone by. Naive isn’t a word that anyone who know me would ever use, lol! That, I’m not and thankfully have never had anyone in my life for long who may have acted like the fellow in your life did. I don’t let anyone screw me over:) Husband is basically an all-around good guy. But see, your own experience, like mine, affects your perceptions of others. It’s how we all work. And, I cannot say your perception of Howard is wrong, either. You might turn out to be right. Or, I might be right and you wrong, or someone else might be right. I don’t feel as if I really know these people at all well enough to make definitive conclusions. Sometimes we can, but sometimes we can’t.

tabor: How are the 2 things dependent on each other? Howard is indeed a psychopath. But that does not mean we know whether he murdered or didn't murder. That still has to be proved one way or another. Doesn't make him less of a psychopath. You might want to check out their traits and behaviours before forming an opinion or obfuscating the issue by linking psychopathy inextricably with murder.

Southerngl: I totally agree with you!
