I’ll try again. No I wouldn’t fight her companion as executor of her estate. If that’s who she chose, and if her will shows that, so be it. In our family, if anyone appoints someone as executor or guardian, we make copies of the documents and give them to the executor and/or guardian. If Virgie has a document as such, then she has every right to fight HKS.
