"Funnier yet, that is exactly what Perper said! I couldn't believe he said it. Were we suppose to just say, "Well, that makes it ok then ... TY for clarification Perper!"

Well, pat yourself on the back then, because you passed the common sense test others seem to be struggling with.

The Medical Board doesn't conduct an investigation until either a legitimate, warranted complaint is made, or, even worse, they've subpoenaed the records themselves. Perper knows at least that much. He's also a lawyer. (By the way, has anyone ever dug up where this guy supposedly practices? Or is it just a shingle he hangs on the morgue wall for prospective personal injury cases for the next of kin to notice when they come in to identify the body?)

Anyway, if the CA Medical Board comes back with bad news for Eroshevich, it's also bad news for Lin Wood, for starters. Virgie will have her justice there in that she wasn't wrong in her thinking and subsequent claims to her attorney. She will have been vindicated in her beliefs and her attorney will have been doing his duty in reviewing her claims and verbally vouching for the credibility of her concerns. Especially now that we know that Stern's name was on most of that prescription list found in Smith's body post-mortem, where's the defamation if the CA Medical Board concurs?

I suspect Wood was hoping that everyone would hate Virgie from the bad publicity thus far and get a win from that alone. But the "Mommy Dearest" video says a lot more about the over-medicated state of Anna Nicole Smith then it says about Virgie Arthur. The video is also contradictory. One second she viciously looks into the camera and seethes, "Bring it on!" Then the next thing you know, it shows a daughter who describes how she cried for her mother while her baby was being born and how she called her mother crying when her son died! So which is it? Is this is an abusive mother? Then why leave your firstborn with the abuser for another 8 years?

These are things that make no sense to me at all.

The fact Perper is a lawyer makes this whole thing stink even more if you ask me! The autopsy report was obviously lacking on so many levels. Where should we begin?

The Hard Rock crime scene? The one he never went to but an assistant saw hours later?

The Interview list? The one that does not even include the first person to find her dead and/or close to it. (Brigitte Neven)

Any half decent lawyer could raise legitimate questions on that report and come out looking like Perry Mason LOL And to think we waited so long so it could be thorough! Ha!

You have raised some interesting points about how much Virgie was privy too after Daniel died. If what the nannies say is true then ANS blamed Howard and wanted him out of her life. The committment ceremony had already happened. It is scary to even think about the why! Common sense tells me it would be because HKS told her she would be in trouble too for the methadone and lose DL. Maybe Virgie’s prediction was ringing true all of a sudden? Would it be totally out of the question that ANS would reach out to Virgie who had law enforcement connections for help in a desperate situation? The nannnies said ANS was kept continually drugged but when she would “wake up” from time to time and find out HKS was still there she would tell him to get out. He would sweet talk her and give her more drugs then the cycle would start over again.

They (nannies) paint a very different picture of the HKS/ANS relationship than was represented to the public.

Ok, this is creepin’ me out so I am gonna save this theory to ponder at another time LOLOL

" ... (By the way, has anyone ever dug up where this guy supposedly practices? ..."

Both he and Cyril Wecht have law degrees in addition to their MD's. Perper got both of his at Hebrew U, his medical in 1960 and his law in 1966 (not sure what their designations are in Israel - i.e., MD, JD, whatever).

Perper then went on to 3 more years of post-grad work at Johns Hopkins in forensic pathology. His first three years working, he was an assistant M.E., then a Research Fellow, then a Chief M.E.

That all leads me to believe the law degree is just something helpful to the forensics part of the job path for government positions in public post-mortem pathology. I can't find any evidence that he has ever practiced law in the states where he has worked.

He is not a member of the FL Bar, either.
