I watched her on the stand, and i didnt’ see her getting ‘flustered’ any more than birkhead or stern got ‘flustered’ when they were asked about money. But I did see it talked about more afterwards. A lot more. Adnauseum more. Even right now, it’s an ‘issue’. she got ‘flustered’ so what? At least she didn’t perjure herself like the rest of them.
Accepting a plane ride to see her grandson’s grave, and to try to talk to her daughter in person, was NOT ‘making money off Anna’. It had nothing to do, with MONEY - it had to do with grieving and trying to bring Anna home ALIVE and being turned away at the gate by Stern.
She didn’t know her attorneys. She was there to get her daughter’s body and go home to grieve. Maybe her attorneys Could have ‘prepared’ her better, and maybe Seidlin could have let her have a moment to confer, too. Seidlin’s strong point was not, tact OR compassion OR pre-hearing discovery. But she didn’t lie. Not once.
I doubt Anyone realized that her trying to claim her daughter’s body would turn into a week-long zoo, complete with a pot-smoking judge. Did you? Did anyone at all?
As a mother, how do you prepare for clown videos? mommy videos? Detox dufflebag stories? lunchhour at the morgue? drug use far above what even you, as a mother, imagined? Good God. I’m surprised she wasn’t a blubbering basketcase. I hate to say it, but if Virgie looked like Opri, she would have been a hero. I’ve sat and watched a Lot of age-ism focused against Virgie and IMO it’s a sad statement about our society.
Remember when they went to the ME office to view Anna's body and the Splash helicoper got there before anyone else? Remember who she rode to that viewing with? The Splash guy!! (sorry forget his name)
She lied about money made at Daniel's grave side pics! She admitted her sister-in-law made money but didn't think it was necessary to ask her about it or suggest it was wrong.
Look, I don't hate Virgie. I am sympathetic with her as a mother and grandmother. But, she needs to let Larry be the father that he has fought hard to be and let him get DL out of HKS's hands ASAP!
Virgie did get flustered and came off bad. She said she didn’t receive money...then said it was from a friend..then after a break she conceded that this friend worked for Splashnews. She’s testified before and her lawyers if they knew she got paid by Splash were negligent and should have prepared her for the questioning. When questioned by Seidlin she was very eloquent and calm and the first bit of tough questioning she cracked. And she did perjure herself when you REALLY think about it and just stick to what was said. She said her “friends” collected money to help pay. Didn’t Barfy Barf ask her if she received money from the press? And if memory serves me correctly she said no. I said in the original thread as it was happening that she just needed to admit and go from there. IShe did make money off of Anna’s name and notoriety..as did Stern as did Larry. It’s not like Splash contacted her for any other reason than who she was. That being said....I’m not against Virgie. I’m not dogging her out like others for silly stupid reasons. (not on this board but TMZ) Calling her white trash and fat. That is uncalled for and speaks to the mentality of the posters over there.
Yes...with wall to wall coverage from the start I knew it was going to be a zoo. But I was surprised that Korda turned out to be the toker and not Seidlin.
