I didn’t know until the other day that her original name on the certificate was “Hannibel Rose” - I had always heard, at the time, it was “Hannah Rose.”

Sure glad they changed the “Hannibel” part! Yikes. Maybe someone actually pointed out to “ANNAbel” that there is a cannibal by that sound-alike name!

Oh Dear. That is funny, but Oh Dear.

You know what? There is a superstition that you are not supposed to change a name of a child once it is born. It is supposed to be VERY bad luck. This happened in the case of my ex-husband, his mother got mad and changed his name from JR. to another name when he was a few days old and he certainly IS bad luck, haha. And is plagued by it as well, even though alot of it is his own making.

Seriously, that is a mountain tale (I am a hillbilly and so was he, from the Smokeys) and Kentucky is the Smokeys too... Just maybe Larry thinks the same way about changing baby’s name. Plus she would be used to it by now.
