why would Howard care about custody at that point?
Once he discovered he had 'wrong legal advice' about the 'committment ceremony' a drugged, incoherent Anna would have been immensely personally beneficial for inquest purposes;
then, giving the baby to birkhead after anna is in the slammer leaves a single man in paradise with a mansion and no big, or little, babies to cater to, and a large 'executor' income, (not to mention substantial income from future "interviews")
the first identity Stern assumed at Anna's death was 'executor' not S.O., not 'husband', but 'executor' - what does he care what happens to the baby as long as the baby has a caregiver and stays alive for say, 30,40 years while he controls the purse strings?

It looks like you’re right. Sorry it took so long to answer. Things are going Howard’s way. The Bahamian Court doesn’t seem likely to bring a conviction against him for Daniel’s death. He has been let off the hook for so many things now, the pattern is unfolding. It will be interesting to see if Larry continues his affection for Howard once the baby is safely away from him.
