Let’s hope the California Medical Board examiners investigating KE and SK notice this too. Failure to rule out hypothyroidism in a depressed patient would seem to be either incompetence or “practicing beyond the scope of one’s expertise.” Not that this is what caused ANS’s death, but paints a picture of incompetence surrounding her death on the parts of various physicians, particularly those who were most familiar with her.
