Cool! Did you twirl and sing The hills are alive?
LOL! The “hills” are so very beautiful. They played the music while driving through them. We saw the mansion on the lake, ran around the fountain, visited the gazebo, monastery and cemetery (where the “hiding” would have taken place.) However the cemetery in the movie was a set. If I watch the movie, I’m sure I would recognize other scenes. There was also a path lined with trees...and an “archway” of trees...yes, I have to watch the movie again.
I’m not one for tours, but this one is a must. It’s impossible to see all the sites in the movie since they’re not all located near each other. And yes, it’s even more interesting to know that it’s a true story.
