My daughter was diagnosed with guttate psoriasis when she was 7 years old. It took months -— and 5 doctors -— before before we got that diagnosis. Her school wouldn't let her attend when she was having a flare up since it looked like she had chicken pox. It seems to be the aftermath of a strep infection and stress related. She's 36 now and doesn't get outbreaks often anymore. She finds lying in the sun clears them up quickly when she does.
