Ha, speaking of Seidlin - Law & Order had their own version of the “crying judge” on tonight.
Unfortunately, he was overseeing his first murder trial - and it was a very important one (so important that Jack McCoy, the main trial DA under Fred Thompson, the big DA, turned in his letter of resignation over it - but Fred gave it back at the end). A violent Senator had stabbed his daughter to death and tried to say it was self-defense.
The crying judge was Jeffrey Tambour, who is always funny. I swear, I thought he was the one on L.A. Law who wore ladies’ underwear, but it doesn’t show up in his imdb entry. I don’t have cable, so haven’t seen Arrested Development or the Larry Sanders Show, which he was also in.
Anyway, he had come from surrogate court, which I guess in NYC is like probate court or family court - it’s whatever Seidlin and Korda did in FL. To come from that to a murder case, especially this high-profile one, put him way out of his element.
He cried over all the problems of the Senator’s grown children (brats) and over the death of the Senator’s wife, which had also just happened (I think the daughter did it). His crying was just over-the-top wailing! Very funny, tho not supposed to be - ya had to have seen Seidlin to really appreciate it!
OH NO... I missed it!! BUT I will be looking for that one in the repeats! It sounds good! And I think Jeffrey Tambour is really funny!
Speaking of repeats...they have already repeated the STUPID Law & Order, CI based on ANS!! I saw it the other day (AGAIN) on USA!! To me, that one was NOT worth repeating for a while!!
Gotta go to bed, so I can get up for my ‘concession stand duty’ tomorrow...Have a good night...and I’ll talk to you again soon!!
