All my online ANS time lately has been in trying to piece together what I can find about LB’s family, just so I can get the names and dates straight for the Case Name List revision - and it’s proving to be a daunting task.

Everything I’ve read says he’s a Lousiville native and yet he isn’t in KY birth records, nor is Lewis, nor is Angela and there are two Judiths, both related to Larry - but no records on his dad, either, so I can’t connect the dot saying the other is his aunt - no way to prove they are siblings.

They have all been in business together at one time or another and even apparently lived at the same address, also just a few houses apart, and I’ve figured out some of it - such as Larry and Lewis’s and Angela’s (I think) mom’s first name, but not her maiden surname.

That’s another thing - none of them show up in the KY marriage or divorce indexes. Why? I can’t pinpoint any other state in which they might have lived, because no other residences than Louisville are listed for the parents in any databases. (Note that I do not pay for any of those lookups; I do it all by hand from what’s available.)

I’ve just scanned over IN and OH, thinking maybe that’s where they came from originally or where they did major events - just across the river or upriver in Cincy, as some in the area seem to do - but they don’t have the good databases online that KY has.

From looking at RE records, it looks like the wife who is Larry’s, et al, mother (but perhaps not Judy’s), Nancy, was divorced from his father in the 1997-98 period and that the father remarried around 2001-2002. The stepmom was Donna Reed (lol!) before - but I don’t know if that was a maiden name or a previous married name.

Again, I can’t understand why they don’t show up anywhere in the public KY marriage and divorce records.

Also, there appear to be at least 5 relatives that the dad has been business partners with who are close in age to him and I would think are siblings - but only 3 of them are in KY birth records and he is not, nor is one more. I’ve found in-laws and so forth. I’ll get into all that later.

The most interesting thing is that one of them has a company that doesn’t show up as being in business anywhere except that it has a corporate name - and it’s not a business I would expect to be owned by someone who is also a youth counselor. More about that later, too, when I can explain it better.

(The only thing even close in name is in MS - but not anywhere near Tunica, which I had hoped I would find at first. Nope, it’s in Vicksburg, and there’s another connection to Greenville - but I think I have that part figured out.)

Anyway, I’ll keep digging, but now I need to focus a bit on that train wreck of a legal morass I downloaded (finally!) and read last night. (It took 30 minutes for that “will” document - I fixed dinner and ate it before it had even finished downloading. I wish TMZ wouldn’t put that dratted watermark on the docs that makes them so graphics-intensive - bad for us peons on dial-up!)
