When you go for that test, make sure they test your thyroid antibodies also. Even if the free t3 and free t4 come back within “normal” range, you could have high thyroid antibodies. Gonna have mine tested Thursday. I hit 30 out of 41 answer on an online hypothyroid quiz.

I agree with gopheraj, in addition to the typical TSH test, you should also request a TEST for your Free T4, Free T3, and Antibodies. If you have Hashimoto’s Hypothyroidism, the typical ‘thyroid’ test (TSH) will not usually detect it. Also, the ‘ranges’ for hypo and hyper thyroidism were changed in 2003, and some doctors are not aware of the changes.
