In the meantime, I found these on You Tube which are videos of some miniature room boxes and rooms and houses.....What good ideas - I don't havea video camera just a digital still family - but I think it has a function for a short video - I'll have to check it out...am not a photographer type person.
Anyway - enjoy.
The first one is done with French narration - you can cut the volume down and not listen to it - just watch the video and see the room boxes and the detailed miniatures in them. Video #1
You can look at the other related miniature videos on the right....to see LOTS of videos about miniature rooms, houses, etc.
Then, here's one that looks like a Japanese room box with 2 rooms
And this one is my FAV - showing a whole doll house - with all the details!!!!
Oh, I can’t view videos on my puter, rats!
I found some of the CSI ones. There is at least one more I can think of that doesn’t seem to be there, but maybe they’ll add it later:

Well, sorry - I didn’t click around on all those photos before posting. Those are three roomboxes for one crime scene, from just one episode.
There are at least three more crime scenes with their own roomboxes. My favorite is an old Victorian with white wicker furniture and ferns in planters. Seems like it was a sun porch where the lady was killed.
The doll in the picture that we see in each scene (usually hidden) was, I believe, woven into a tapestry pillow cover for what looked like a little needlepoint pillow.
When I get a chance, I’ll see if they have pix of the others, too. That gives you an idea of them, anyway.
Ok, have taken some photos of the room boxes. Then I tried to download the software that comes with my digital camera and it says it doesn’t work on Windows 98 which is what I still have on my PC, (I know - dinosaur OS). But I am going to figure out a way to do this and will get them uploaded so you can see them soon.
