that's exactly where, I've Always come from...Virgie may not be 'photogenic' or 'soccermom', but you know what? groceries more important than haircut, Family more important than wardrobe, Mortgage more important than extravagance are Solid Christian Republican Values. Those complicit in the deaths of my daughter and grandson?? - open season....oh nooooo...I wouldn't be as calm or non-vocal as Virgie Arthur! I'd be wanting Justice A Lot Faster ! Front and g'dern Center ! NOW! (just me, i guess :) )
I admire Virgie Arthurs' calmness, collectiveness and reserve. But I guess that's just the cop coming out in her. Amazing that three, four years ago, she went thru what Anna/Vicki went thru - learning how to talk, walk, feel.......
I guess what I'm trying to say is, Grandmas like Virgie, know....... they just know.........and I understand where she's coming ..and I hope....one day.... (godforbid) if I'm in the same situation, I will be just as, aware, just as Loving, just as 'big-picture' as Virgie, just as determined... that regardless of the sensationalist pictures that the 'trash press' cranks out, that I, too, would draw the line in the sand, and say, I don't care who the Hell you are, if you're involved...I'm comin'.....dig up my past. trash me . I'm coming.... Get it all out on the table...go for it bayyyyybeee...from here to south america and back - bring it, but I'm still comin' after u......and u....and u....
gotta give Virgie two points and then some
God bless grandmas and mothers
well it was quite the hodge-podge of scripting, lol
Hi kim :)........yes, it's very sad. Especially, if you discected the Birkhead family, I'm sure you'd find some skeletons in their closets. as ALL families have. It's sad, they don't acknowledge Virgie is middle class, too - just like they are...I guess it's too easy to buy the negative 'texas dirtfarmer' myth.
in calif, a 3 bdrm house is worth over 1/4 mil...the same house, in S.Carolina or Texas, or Georgia, would be worth about 40K - wealth is relative
We could be catty and question why LB's dad is divorced,or why LB's sister is also divorced, and expose some skeletons there that surely exist, but some are more gracious than others. Some are more aware of simple human dignity than others. Unfortunately, we see a lack of those truths expressed in this case. Hollywierd prevails for the moment over logic.
grandparent's rights, expecially when the daughter/parent is deceased, runs deep in the fabric of american society, as much as liberals (metrosexuals?) would like to pretend it doesn't.
poor sawyer, sex object he is lololol
I just love his 'instant nicknames' - most of which I agree with !!lol
when I first started analysing Moe, I figured, dumb basketball jock, can't think his way out of a cardboard box....I coined 'on moe-bedtime story'...(and Taz-maniac)..now that I know more.....I'm sitting here, scratching my proverbial head.....is this Will Farrel's cousin/brother/????? (focused on Farrel now) lol
Hey! Ok, will try to tune on Thursday. I actually looked for the show this past Thurrsday but, alas, could not find it. But I got home late - maybe I missed it. Will want to see those rooms once this series is over!
Yes it was a hodgepodge!
I didn't realize that honoring moms is not PC. Today's "Dear Abby" column (Abby is dead and her daughter is cashing in on the name), criticized the practice of a church that recognized their importance. Abby's problem is that it might hurt those who do not have children. She is a moron. People without children still have mothers, and most of them remember their mothers. Honoring mothers in no way dishonors those who do not have children. There are also Nobel prizes awarded. By her reasoning, none should be since it might hurt those of us who do not receive them.
I wonder how Dannielynn is spending her 1st Mother’s Day without her mommy?
I read this am that Larry is thinking about allowing Dannielynn to model? I hope he allows her to be a baby!!
Very thoughtful and lovely! Same to you and all the moms who post and lurk on this thread.
Paws
LMAO Liz....have you got a sequined clad chihuahua to go with?
“I am still concerned that KE is going to get a pass on her medical care “
California Medical Board’s Hot Sheet is up for May...I don’t find her on it!
If she is under investigation...why aren’t we finding her name listed?
“Hang in there Kimberly!”
Thanks!
Thanks! No, no updates...just that the biopsy was inconclusive and may have to be repeated...and he’s started chemo...is in intensive care :( But thank you all again for your thoughts and prayers.
A very happy Mother’s Day to all of you as well!
I’m just a “mom” to my fur kids—does that count?
Yesterday, while waiting my turn at the beauty salon, I picked up a copy of the June issue of Marie Claire magazine to pass the time. One of the articles ( about the Hollywood party people) was titled, “Who’s Watching the Kids ?” and subtitled...”When the hand that rocks the cradle is holding a cigarette and flipping off the papparazi, you have to wonder.”
Without cannabalizing Ali Wentworth’s entire article, I will post what she wrote about Anna Nicole:
“It was 6:30 PM. Dirty diapers were being hurled across the room and bathwater was overflowing - all to the cacophony of two screaming girls, a yelping dachshund, and my husband’s tireless cellphone. The nightly news was struggling for attention in the background when suddenly, a fluffy photo of Anna Nicole Smith filled the screen. My 4 -year-old stopped biting her younger sister’s shoulder and pointed to the image.”
“Look ! Look at the cute baby !” There was silence as we all turned to focus.
“Is that her mommy?” my daughter asked. “Ah...yes !” I said, relieved it wasn’t Anna Nicole squeezing her boobs together with her tongue hanging out.
“Where’s her daddy?”
“Maybe he’s at work.” I couldn’t exactly explain that at the time, the father could have been anybody from the guy at the Fatburger to Zsa Zsa Gabor’s husband.
“Where do they live?”
“I think in the Bahamas?” I said, hoping this would be the end of the conversation and I wouldn’t have to get into the sedative overdose.
My daughter jumped up and declared, “I want to be her !”
“Well, that was a sleepless night for me.”......”
(I can just imagine how many sleepless nights Virgie must have suffered.. and is still suffering, worrying now about her granddaughter! She’s the only one who isn’t fighting for the money, for an hour of fame, or whatever, IMOH . In the beginning, I thought that Larry Birkhead was different . Now, I’m no longer convinced. )
mom4kittys and to all of you lovely mothers!
Hope you're day is a wonderful day!
