The mother is rotten but Jolie may have no good choices. She should consider actually giving the child back, only with a monthly allowance at some grocery store -- sort of like food stamps -- so that the child is always provided for. And she could send clothing and pay for schooling and healthcare. That sort of thing. But not one dime should be spent on that mother. Not one red cent. If the mother is not interested in the child, she will give him back. At least the child will have physical needs met.
The mother will do what the welfare deadbeats here do; cheat the child somehow, even as far as *buying* the food and selling it and the clothing on the black market for her own habit.
