Mars. Desolate and hostile.
A longtime Hollywood setting for extraterrestrial sci-fi movies, the Red Planet is still a mystery.
Today, Jolene Redvale will suit up for a scientific expedition to "Mars."
She'll pack sunscreen and a hat. Probably some good hiking boots.
Definitely all the water she can drink in a day.
For Redvale and some 39 other educators from around the country, the barren Mojave Desert will serve as a substitute for an out-of-this-world lunar or Martian environment today through Friday.

We definitely needs some faster transportation.
I do the same thing in the summer, but use the Lake Michigan beaches.
