One of my uncles, an aircraft mechanic by trade, was in love with Studebakers. He would buy a heap, fix it up and trade it for a better model. He finally ended up with his baby, a Golden Hawk, like this one:
Gorgeous car..and about 25 years ahead of its time..Raymnd Loewy was a genius...in the 50's, when I was a tad, my folks had a Packard Caribbean Coupe...I can still remember the gull on the hood..
