"He could have easily gouged his faithless wife in both custody and financial arrangements."

I wouldn't bet a cent on that. Besides, then the adulterous little punk gets off scot-free.

We are not talking about pride, here. We are talking about blinding rage resulting from some punk sniffing around where he had no business and ruining this guy's life. Can you even fathom that? No repercussions for ruining the lives of a whole family.

If I pinch a girl on the butt, I can be arrested for sexual assault. I sleep with some guy's wife, ruin his life, her life and their kids lives and nobody can do a thing to me.

That rage and the feeling of helplessness and the knowledge that nobody can do anything to the punk for ruining lives will often lead to violence through crimes of passion.

I could not condemn a man for shooting me for sleeping with his wife.

The lover did not force himself on the wife. In fact, I'll bet that the affair was her idea. And married women who seduce teenage boys don't tend to do well in divorce court.

In trying to avenge an evil done against him, he did something that was even worse.

Sounds to me like the WIFE was sniffing around where she shouldn't have been. She's the married one, which leads her to being the adulterous little punk, IMO. Sounds like SHE was the one making stupid decisions that ruined her life, her kids, her husband's and now some kid infatuated with probably his first sex partner. *And* a teacher is in a position of trust and authority over students. I'm not excusing the 18 year old, but what the hell was the WIFE thinking?? It was her marriage, her vows, her family.

I feel for the husband in a way, I really do. But my anger would be directed at my spouse for disregarding the marriage vows and disrespecting me and our relationship.
