He sounds a little raspy. The dry oxygen irritated his throat. They’ve pulled the ‘sleeves’ out of his femoral arteries, so they aren’t planning to go back in.

In a few minutes they’ll be transferring him out of the ICU and into steerage...

Steerage? I’m assuming, from the other things you said, that’s much better condition than he was to have to stay in ICU. Glad he’s doing better. Sounds like he’s out of the woods now....good to hear that.
