My guess is, in his mind, he blew it off...but also decided it was best not to keep calling and pestering her, hehehe. These young men (in their 20s) were not "over the edge"...just too persistent for my daughter's taste and this was, for her, and her dad, a fun way to address it.

At the same time...if they were inclined to go "over the edge" it was also a pretty direct message aimed at that.
