Chloral hydrate is not manufactured in injectable form. Only comes as capsule, suppository or syrup.
Have I missed the commentary on the story from Drudge in which the mags are reporting she died from the chloral hydrate, but had an abcess infection in her left but cheek, probably from bad needle used in some sort of injection?
What do we think of that?

Yes, that's what I keep finding too, but we were trying to figure out if the syrup form could be injected. When it first came out that it was used by vets for surgery on animals I found this:
"INJECTABLE AGENTS:
Telazol + chloral hydrate – Administer 20 mg/kg of Telazol by intramuscular injection followed by 200 mg/kg of a 5% solution of chloral hydrate by intraperitoneal injection; anesthesia lasts 1 to 2 hours."
Since chloral hydrate is rarely prescribed anymore, I also wondered if this drug was chosen specifically because , according to some expert on CTV, a normal dose is only detectable in the system for 4 minutes after administering.
