Methadone was in her body tissue but at the time of death there was no methadone found in her stomach or blood (non in her system). In otherwords she had not taken any methadone the day she died.
(chances are methdone is out of your system within 24 hours if you do not redose)
But since it was found in her tissues it shows that she was a long time user of methadone and may have been using it up until a few days before her death (possibly as late as Monday or Tuesday of that week).
Again they are talking about the Demerol shot with 2 minutes of her death. If this is true then they found a concentrated area of Demerol in a muscle some where on her body.

There is a good chance that she was still using methadone but she may have been so sick from the blood infection that she did not want any methadone Tuesday and Wednesday.
