The pi hadn't talked to Daniel for 3 months.
As far as HK$, doesn't the obvious come to mind?
I thought I'd read somewhere here or from an article that Daniel saw/spoke to the PI only a couple of weeks before he left for the Bahamas and died. That's what I was going by, and perhaps I misread that somewhere.
