What I find hard to believe is that she was in excruciating pain and didn't take any painkillers for it! She lived on painkillers - why would this be the one time in her life that no painkillers were found in her system?
They never said there were no painkillers 'in her system', they said there were no undigested pills in her stomach. Of course I've said before that if she had gastric bypass surgery than she wouldn't have kept any pills in the stomach as they would flush through quickly. And unless Perper was familiar (which all docs are not familiar with all things) with that aspect of Gastric Bypass, he wouldn't know it was a big deal. BUT, if they dealt with liquid painkillers or injectable kinds... then there wouldn't be any pills in her stomach.
I think most of us non-drug addicts think of pain killers as the pill form, as those would do most of us in. But she was addicted for years and needed the stronger stuff.
I know what we've heard about no pills in stomach, but I was referring to this sentence in the newly concocted story from the NE:
" ... Contrary to speculation, tests show Anna Nicole did not have methadone or any other painkilling drug in her system at the time of her death. ..."
