That's a very interesting statement.
Why would she use the phrase "the smoking gun?"
To me, that sounds like a reference to a crime.
Why not say "that could give the answer" or something less ominous sounding?
Did Tas already have suspicions about Anna being in danger?

Whoa! Taz let one slip. Didn't Taz stop talking a long time ago? This leads me to believe that Moe and Taz have been talking to the cops from the git go. Or shortly after being presented with the video evidence. Which i believe they were presented with very early on. Not last week.

The way Tas used the phrase 'smoking gun' was very strange and indicates she knows more than she has told publicly, imho.
