Good morning FWI,
I had a poodle growing up and she did the same thing, it was really only when she was super excited...I miss the old thing your post brought her back to me for a moment...and I had to laugh...she was really fast! Otherwise, she was calmer and even sulked when sad. We just thought it was her personality.
I would imagine training could help , we just let "missy" do her thing...it never really hurt anything. Anyway, I think it is normal, at least for some poodles, at times they feel really happy.
Have a great day!

Oh - good - another poodle owner (in the past). Yes, this poodle stays excited - which I guess is good since he is still pretty young. Someone told my Dad that when the poodle gets to be 7,8 months - he goes through a "terrible teen" stage and gets actually worse....and that some people give up on poodles during that phase. (Something my Dad didn't want to hear). That's another reason I thought if we could get some good training going for the poodle maybe it wouldn't be such a "terrible teen".....even if that's the truth - which I have no idea about.
