You know what this saga reminds me of? The Queen Elizabeth I and Robert Dudley. Robert Dudley was a favorite at court and would even present himself as the Queen's Consort and he was married. It was a total scandal back in that day and his wife was not allowed at court while he was with the Queen in her chambers alone, spending time riding and so on. Well, his wife ends up dead, suspiciously (fell down 6 stairs and supposedly broke her neck. On SIX stairs) and because of the scandal, he was never allowed to marry her. Of course she never married and he ended up marrying her niece (who looked ALOT like Queen Elizabeth), but he reminds me of HKS. He was her 'servant' and all for HER, but yet he had his own ambitions in mind.

Just a thought.
