I think the reason they hired Wecht, was because of the first Coroner's report and guilt perhaps?? Anna and Stern lawyered up pretty quickly after Daniel's death. One of the HKS lawyers, Munroe, is the President of Bar Association of the Bahamas. Monroe managed to cancel an inquest that the Bahama coroner had set up for sometime in October 2006, iirc. Most reports say Munroe represents Anna's estate, but what did that have to do with changing the death inquest laws in the Bahamas, which is what Munroe did. Wecht apprears to be behaving as a highly paid, defense witness.

I should have realized you were just questioning the need for a high profile ME like Wecht. You're exactly right! Just the hiring of Wecht raises a big 'rhetorical' question.
