Probably because he is unofficially a suspect now in Daniel's death. The Bahamian inquest next week may lead to an arrest warrant on him. OR it could be that Florida has asked the Bahamian Courts to order him not the leave the island and that Stern will be extradited to the US here shortly.
Hopefully we will learn more before the day is over with.
