It could very well be faked. Still I think the insinuation that Virgie's service revolver was involved in her son's disability was over the line.
Unless Barth told this story more than once, she didn't say that it was "involved" in his disability per se. She said her disabled son was injured with her service revolver. But surely she wanted people to think it was the cause of his disability. Don't get me wrong!
