I saw him a few minutes ago on MSNBC..... something is definitely fishy re: Dr. Wecht. He is not passing the smell test.

Well...although Wecht has already stated what he deems the cause of death...a coroner's inquest is slated to begin within the week. Wecht's neck is most definitely on the line here...at least his reputation is on the line if he blew this incredibly high profile case and has allowed a murderer, now possibly a double murderer, to continue raising a vulnerable baby.

I'd probably be a bit defensive if I were in his shoes.

Wecht hasn't passed the smell test since his testimony in the Westerfield trial. No matter what opinion one might have of the Van Dam's, Wecht's testimony about the decay process on their daughter's body was uncalled for, insensitive and proved nothing.
