I believe Mo said he called the hotel and told THEM to call 911. He said his phone was registered in FLA so he thought if he called 911 he would be contacting FLA emergency.

Just catching up so you may already have a response. You are correct in that Moe called the hotel to call 911. His phone was registered in Miami (Dade County), I believe, and the 'incident' was in Broward County; consequently, his excuse that the wrong responders would be notified using his cell phone.
