Good question on Daniel's flight plans to the Bahamas. The airline should have the records on who paid for it - when reservations were made and related phone numbers.
Seems like if Daniel arranged a surprise trip to see his mother & sister, he would have caught a cab to the hospital to avoid HK$ as much as possible.
If Stern planned the trip he completely controlled Daniel's movements.
