You can get the DVR’s free if you get satellite TV and sign up for a full year.
Like I said DishNetwork (with the 500 dish) is the best. Their DVR has the biggest hard drive the last time I checked.
If you decide to sign up for satellite TV take the smallest package you can that will support the free DVR. You can always upgrade your package later and down grade it to the original package during your first year if need be. You own the DVR and equipment after 1 year or contract service. After 1 year you can switch, cancel or go to another company if you want.
I think I get it—if you have cable you have to subscibe to their dvr service? Or if you have satellite—you can subscribe to their dvr service OR you can have tivo and it works on everything?
