Hi FWI, Scoobee caught it. It is the CURRENT age of the ex-prisoner. If you click on the “help” doodle on the bottom of the link, it says the age is based on the birth of the person. So that person is 60, but Rte66 has convinced me that I’m probably quite wrong!

No need to eat crow - just further discovery - Rte66 found all that info on the ANS GBT - and his name is Gaither Benjamin Thompson. The name of the guy in prison was Gaither Bengene Thompson - two different people.

This investigative thread is just that - investigative - everything that is posted is a work in progress - much of it is IMHO, much of it is fact - but that factoid is a very important one to be sure is accurate.....so it's now cleared up.

I still think it’s a bit bizarre that the Federal Bureau of Prisons keeps track of every deceased person in the US, every day, just to cross-check them with released inmates to add “deceased” to their online display.

Think how much work that is! All deaths aren’t reported right away or in any cohesive format. That is mind-boggling, to me.
