I recall reading that when she had the 105 fever, they gave her meds and it went away? I think if she had a really BAD infection, it would not of went away that quickly?
The gullible Dr. Perper chose to take everyone's word about the 105 fever going down and that Anna was getting "better". (That would be a convenient lie told to justify them NOT taking Anna to the hospital.)
Just because they "said" it, doesn't make it so.
