S. Carolina is on my wish list. I've never been there, but it sounds like my kind of place. I lived in Texas as a kid, but I'm not real sure I want to move there.

South Carolina is awesome. I have family that lives there.
I loved Myrtle Beach and stayed there in Mid October. This was a great time to go. Drove through the Smokey Mountains (the long route) and the trees were awesome in the fall and stayed in Cherokee NC for a couple of days (Cherokee NC is right on the other side as you come out of the Smokey Mountain park) then we went to Asheville SC, then Spartenburg SC then Myrtle Beach SC. I had planned to go Charlotte SC but I got a bad head/chest cold so we stayed in Myrtle Beach longer. But it was great! - I would move to SC if I could get my hubby to do it.

I think you'd both like SC...try Greenville! I grew up in N. Louisiana, and have always dreamed of moving back someday, but it doesn't look like it will happen.

Aiken is nice, and it's not too far from Augusta if anyone is interested in the Masters. FDR's lady friend lived in Aiken and had a beautiful home there. It's also horse country. My husband said he used to go over and watch them play polo when he was working at "the bomb plant".

Liz, I am finishing up with 4 implants after a year. I should get the crowns put on in a couple of week. I don't know what possessed me to let the dentist talk me into having 3 more done! He said they might give me trouble later, and for awhile I wished I had waited until I really needed them. I parted with a lot of money that I would rather have spent on a new SUV!

We have some friends who left Arizona and moved to West Texas... they say the property taxes are killing them after our low taxes here.
