Yes it seems there could be something done re: US authorities pushing to get to truth about Daniel if their system doesn't do it. However, did the US government get involved with the Natalee Holloway situation in Aruba? They may have....I just don't know.
I think in the Holloway case, the FBI may have tried to get involved, but were denied. Still, I think they did some of their own investigating. With circumstances being so different in this case (he died surrounded by American citizens), I hope that they will not simply rely on the Bahama legal system for answers. Then again, I'm hoping they don't rely on Perper and Tiger to have done any 'real' investigative work either. At the very least, I would hope that Virgie would be in a position to file wrongful death.
