Supposedly Perper has believed himself to be Anna's "protector" during all this - not in the sense of finding anybody who did her harm - but in the sense that I think team Stern came across as so devastated by her death that they stressed the need to preserve Anna's dignity or whatever....and that included "respecting" the feelings of the "devastated" Stern and KE - the friend, and the others on TeamStern but that's just an addled brain explanation.

Since perper HAD appeared so involved in pushing for the facts in the case - from a ME perspective - I would have thought he would have at least visited the scene of the death - rather than just taking word for word the explanations of those with ANS in her final days.

I see what you're saying here but I'd probably call it something very different.
