Most of them probably do have penny slots. BUT to play all lines usually 100 or 200 it would cost you $1.00 or $2.00 a pull (push of the button) to play a minimum amount if you played all lines. Penny and Nickle slots have become a big money maker for the casinos.

Wow, I guess it has been a long time since I was in Vegas. Someone told me years ago to play the max amount on the slots, so I'm guessing that is what you're referring to.

My main source of fun has always been people watching and the cheap food. I might play a couple of hands of Blackjack. It all depends how I feel.

I think that they probably meant the maximum of lines not the maximum bet ($) Good luck in what ever you do people watching is great sport in Vegas ;)
