I live in So Cal, and there's all kinds of cellophane bagged spices, herbs, etc in all the grocery stores. I don't know if it's the real thing, but I've seen "saffron" for under a buck for a very small amount.
I've never bought it, so I don't know the quality or taste.
Since all of us will be huddled here around the "conference table" tomorrow morning, we shall need food. Have you given any thought to our brunch menu? Perhaps a lovely assortment of quiches, fresh fruit and delectable pastries? Bloody Marys, mimosas, peach bellinis? Oh, and speaking of peaches, perhaps some peach melba crepes.
Now I did it. I'm really, really hungry.
